Ainda não há nova data para a audiência conjunta das comissões do Senado, mas quando a data for definida, a Casa irá refazer o convite para que Blatter participe do evento. Para o evento marcado para o dia 11, o Senado havia convidado Blatter, que indicou Valcke como seu representante.

Pernambuco está se preparando para a Copa do Mundo de 2014 e há muitos desafios a serem enfrentados até a chegada do evento. O tema fez parte do debate “Como Pernambuco está se preparando para receber a Copa do Mundo?”, realizado ontem no Recife Praia Hotel, no Pina. Para o titular da Secretaria Extraordinária da Copa de 2014 (SECOPA) do Recife, Amir Schvartz, uma das maiores barreiras a ser transposta é o idioma.

“A FIFA (Federação Internacional de Futebol) exige, por exemplo, que haja sinalização bilíngue na cidade, com placas na língua local e na inglesa”, disse. “Além disso, para atender aos turistas dos mais diversos países que vamos receber, é importante que os atores da cadeia produtiva do turismo saibam se comunicar em inglês”.

Schvartz citou como complicador os diferentes níveis de educação e escolaridade de quem faz parte desse setor. “Como ensinar um ambulante a falar inglês?”, questionou. “Mas vamos achar uma forma. E as empresas e sindicatos precisam se mobilizar também, colaborar nesse aspecto”. Ele informou que em 2011 foram capacitados 20 mil trabalhadores do turismo. Para o secretário municipal da SECOPA, falta também percepção da população em relação ao evento. “As pessoas acham que ainda falta muito tempo. Sentimos falta de que a sociedade civil se mobilize mais, que nos traga propostas de ações”.

Schvartz contou ainda que há muitas exigências da FIFA que a cidade precisa desenvolver. “Nossa polícia não tem treinamento em relação ao terrorismo, já que não temos esse problema aqui. Como na Copa estaremos no centro das atenções, precisamos ter esse cuidado. Vamos ter que fazer uma qualificação com nossos policiais nesse aspecto”.

Para o gerente geral de Articulação Institucional da Secopa-PE, Ciro Pedrosa, a Copa é a oportunidade de projetar Pernambuco como destino turístico internacional. “Essa é uma oportunidade de mostrá-lo para o mundo. Há um aumento do fluxo de visitantes nos países que recebem esse campeonato, mesmo ao término do evento. Vamos aproveitar isso”.

Outra questão diz respeito às partidas que serão realizadas no Estado, nos dias 14, 20, 23, 26 e 29 de junho, mesmo período dos festejos juninos. “Estamos estudando a melhor forma de comungar as duas festas”. O presidente do Recife Convention & Visitors Bureau, Paulo Menezes, afirmou que é preciso concretizar a mobilidade urbana e trazer investimentos para o Estado. “Temos que divulgar Pernambuco como um local onde as empresas devem investir”.

Já fiz diversas viagens usando os meios de transporte que são usados por locais e visitantes, usei o TIP (Terminal Interestadual de Passageiros), o METROREC (Linha de Metros do Recife), e os ônibus. Além de dirigir um carro - no pico, quer dizer, agora toda hora é hora de rush - em Boa Viagem, centro, e adjacências da Arena em São Lourenço da Mata, fui até o sitio e vi as construções, fui à Recife até na temporada chuvosa, para sentir o que é se deslocar para assistir um jogo debaixo de chuva.
