Pela enésima vez, a Arena
Pernambuco ficou em xeque em relação à presença na Copa das Confederações de
2013.
Jérôme Valcke, secretário-geral da FIFA, segue dando indiretas
sobre a quantidade de subsedes no “festival de campeões” (em vez de seis
estádios, cinco ou até quatro) e o governo do estado segue plenamente otimista
sobre o desfecho dessa longa história.
Estrutura de concreto à parte, já com 64% de avanço físico, o
capítulo final deve respingar no desejo político de Eduardo Campos em 2014, com
a possível disputa pela presidência. Inteligente, o socialista sabe muito bem
das consequências possíveis.
A realização dos torneios de 2013 e 2014 na arena a transformaria
em um dos principais palcos esportivos do País nesta nova geração. Por outro
lado, um ponto de corte na Copa das Confederações resultaria numa munição de
grosso calibre para futuros adversários, sobretudo com o investimento extra
para acelerar a obra.
Considerando este ponto e o fato de que na FIFA a política caminha
(historicamente) à frente dos dados técnicos, a permanência da Arena Pernambuco
– cujo anúncio definitivo será em novembro – é uma verdadeira incógnita, ainda
mais com as recentes declarações do governador, fazendo uma leve dissociação de
antigos aliados, ainda no poder, e trilhando uma aventura solo na próxima
eleição.
Que fique claro isso é apenas a opinião de quem acompanha todo
esse processo, ainda que de fora, há mais de dois anos. E que viu a Arena
Pernambuco entrar na lista da Copa das Confederações justamente pela força
política local.
Infelizmente a politica está no
meio disto, mas antes de tudo, dormimos em berço esplêndido quando demoramos a
fazer o que deveria ter sido feito, como por exemplo, as desapropriações,
perdeu-se demasiado tempo brigando por míseros reais, quando depois o próprio
governo teve que abrir as torneiras para tentar conseguir entregar a Arena
pronta, no prazo da copa das confederações, e olhe que ainda está se tentando.
Sinto muito, mas tenho que
escrever isto, faltou gente com conhecimento, visão e um planejamento
estratégico que teria que fazer estas projeções, ou então foi dolo, pois
estamos vendo um rio de dinheiro sendo canalizado para elas, e sem termos ainda
a certeza de que a FIFA aprovará.
