É com grande decepção que temos de confirmar que a Convenção Global da Soccerex  final no Brasil em 2013 não vai mais acontecer.

Com a agitação civil em curso, o Secretário de Estado do Esporte do Rio de Janeiro, tomou a decisão política de retirar seu apoio da Convenção Global Soccerex . Os preparativos para o evento no Estádio do Maracanã já estavam bem avançado com o conteúdo planejado, oradores confirmados e parcerias no lugar.

Para ser sumariamente cancelado de uma forma tão arrogante, depois de ter promovido 33 eventos ao longo de cinco continentes é extremamente frustrante, mas, no entanto, isso já aconteceu e está em contravenção com todas as obrigações contratuais do Governo do Estado do Rio, que irá ser notificado da nossa intenção de instigar procedimentos legais para a compensação substancial do evento que iríamos promover.

Quando o cancelamento é um choque enorme para todos os envolvidos com a Soccerex, é importante notar que a Convenção Global Soccerex foi acertada em Manchester para os próximos quatro anos, com início em setembro de 2014 . O Fórum Soccerex Africano terá lugar em Durban em novembro e dois outros eventos Soccerex, uma na Rússia e uma na América estão prestes a ser anunciados.

Estive em Manchester em abril e vi a organização da Soccerex, fui muito bem recebido pelos seus diretores e contei com o apoio de todos. Infelizmente os políticos de nosso País estão conseguindo enlamear o que poderia ser um grande passo para que estivéssemos sendo considerados de primeiro mundo.

Estou apreensivo quanto à realização da Copa do Mundo, que já está batendo à porta. Estamos vendo um País sendo roubado miseravelmente por nossos dirigentes (políticos), que se acostumaram apenas a mentir, enganar e rolar com a barriga os problemas, pois na realidade tudo que aqui se faz custa sempre mais do que o dobro se fosse feito em outro lugar, não temos segurança, não temos transporte público, não temos aeroportos decentes, saúde pública, hotéis, enfim, tudo aqui se faz visando o interesse pessoal e o proprio bolso.

It is with great disappointment that we must confirm that the final Soccerex Global Convention in Brazil will now not be taking place.

With the ongoing civil unrest, the Rio de Janeiro State Secretary of Sport took the political decision to withdraw their support from the Soccerex Global Convention. Preparations for the event at the Maracana Stadium were well advanced with content planned, speakers confirmed and partnerships in place. To be summarily cancelled in such a cavalier fashion, having hosted 33 events over five continents is extremely frustrating but nevertheless it has happened and is in contravention of all of the contractual obligations of the Rio State Government, who have been notified of our intention to instigate legal proceedings for substantial compensation.

While the cancellation is an immense shock for everyone involved with Soccerex, it is important to note that the Soccerex Global Convention is contracted in Manchester for the next four years beginning in September 2014. The Soccerex African Forum will take place in Durban in November and two other Soccerex events, one in Russia, and one in the Americas are soon to be announced. Further information on future Soccerex events and other activities will shortly be available via the Soccerex website and other media channels.

Soccerex CEO Duncan Revie said: “On behalf of all at Soccerex, I would like to apologise to every business, football club, league, federation and media organisation affected by this news. This unique and cruel conclusion to our time in Rio was completely out of our hands and everyone who has attended a Soccerex event over the last 18 years will know this is not how we do business. 

We must look forward now to 2014, to our new event calendar and the Global Convention in Manchester.” Andrew Stokes, CEO of Marketing Manchester, host of the Soccerex Global Convention 2014-17 commented: “I am sorry to hear about the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the cancellation of the Soccerex Global convention in Rio. Manchester is looking forward to becoming the home of Soccerex for the next four years and I am certain that together we will build on the illustrious past that both the event and the city have enjoyed.”

I've been in Manchester in April and saw the organization of Soccerex, was very well received by its directors and counted with the support of all. Unfortunately the politicians of our country are getting muddy what could be a big step towards that we were being considered first world.

I'm apprehensive about holding the World Cup, which is already knocking at the door.

VALCKE ALERTA SÃO PAULO, PARA “ACELERAR” NO TÉRMINO DA CONSTRUÇÃO DO ESTÁDIO / VALCKE URGES SÃO PAULO TO “SPEED UP” STADIUMS PREPARATIONS

O gigante Corinthians, bateu duro no secretário-geral Jerome Valcke, de que o trabalho de construção do estádio em São Paulo precisa "acelerar" antes da Copa do Mundo de 2014.

São Paulo está programado para sediar seis jogos durante o torneio, incluindo o jogo de abertura e uma das semi-finais, mas os chefes de construção no estádio da cidade, disseram na semana passada que uma reformulação do local não seria concluída até dezembro, conforme solicitado pelo FIFA. Giant Corinthians (Serie A do Brazilian Championship), have hit out at FIFA secretary general Jerome Valcke’s warning that stadium construction work in Sao Paulo needs to “speed up” ahead of the 2014 World Cup.

São Paulo is slated to host six games during the tournament, including the opening match and one of the semi-finals, but construction chiefs at the city’s stadium said last week that a revamp of the venue would not be completed by December, as requested by FIFA. “Don’t forget… it’s not a threat, we can change all until the first minute of the ticket sales,” Valcke said, according to the Associated Press, during a visit to a new World Cup stadium in Brasilia that is set to host its first official match on Saturday. “So we can change the match schedule until August 1.”

“I think we have been clear,” Valcke said. “There will be no delay. No way that we can accept any delay for the World Cup 2014. Because as you will see for the World Cup we need a lot more time to install all the facilities for the media, for the hospitality, for all of what we need in order to deliver the World Cup… There will be a discussion with Sao Paulo about their stadium. We will have to sit down and see exactly what’s happening. And we told them already that they should speed up. Whatever, it means for them, they have to speed up.”

The São Paulo stadium’s capacity for the World Cup is increasing by 20,000 seats to nearly 70,000. Odebrecht, the company responsible for construction work at the stadium, has said that the main 48,000-seat structure will be ready by December. Stadium owners Corinthians have responded to Valcke’s comments by stating FIFA had agreed to give them an extra two months after work on the facility was delayed by bureaucratic difficulties. “If FIFA understand that they have to move the venue for the opening game, then they can be our guests,” said the club, according to Reuters. “The situation set out by Valcke today seems a bit strange to Corinthians as…the deadline was extended by Valcke himself until February 2014.

O capitão da Seleção campeã mundial em 1970, Carlos Alberto Torres, criticou nesta quarta-feira a decisão da CBF de escolher Luiz Felipe Scolari como substituto de Mano Menezes.

Durante um talk show ao lado de Zico, na Soccerex - evento de negócios do futebol na Zona Sul do Rio -, disse que o comandante do penta em 2002 não vive um bom momento e, por isso, não deveria estar no topo da lista. Ele citou, como exemplos, Abel Braga, campeão brasileiro pelo Fluminense, e Tite, campeão da Libertadores com o Corinthians, além de Muricy Ramalho (Santos) e Vanderlei Luxemburgo (Grêmio).

- Não acho que um técnico que colocou um time na segunda divisão este ano deva assumir a seleção. Aí vão dizer: "Ah, mas foi campeão em 2002!". Mas isso foi em 2002! Tem de ser o mesmo critério usado para jogador, o técnico tem de ser o melhor agora, não o que foi melhor há 10 anos.

Estão falando muito do Felipão, mas não sei se é o ideal. Há profissionais que estão à frente no momento. Talvez, Muricy, Luxemburgo, Tite, ou o campeão brasileiro, o Abel - analisou Torres, lembrando que Felipão treinou o Palmeiras durante grande parte da má campanha que causou o rebaixamento do clube neste ano.

Companheiro de Carlos Alberto Torres no tricampeonato de 70, Paulo César Caju também defendeu a vinda de Guardiola para o lugar de Mano Menezes e criticou a escolha da CBF por Felipão. Para o ex-jogador, a volta do técnico pentacampeão é um retrocesso.

- Temos uma chance única de resgatar nosso futebol. O Guardiola está aí há um ano, doido para assumir a seleção brasileira. Mas vamos insistir na mesma coisa, um cara cara que rebaixou o Palmeiras e não arruma nada há 10 anos - afirmou Cajú durante a Soccerex.

Torres ressaltou, contudo, a dificuldade enfrentada por Mano Menezes para renovar a equipe e fez questão de dizer que acredita em uma seleção brasileira forte para 2014.

- Depois da África, acabou uma geração. Então ele foi obrigado a fazer uma renovação total. O erro do Mano, a meu ver, foi convocar atletas que não tinham condição de vestir a camisa da seleção. Mas acho que agora há uma base e o Brasil será muito forte em 2014.

Zico discursou em tom mais político, afirmando que acha todos os nomes citados muito bons. Os questionamentos passaram então à possibilidade que chegou a ser ventilada de o ex-técnico do Barcelona, Pep Guardiola, ser convidado para assumir a seleção brasileira.

- Não posso ter nada contra um estrangeiro assumir, eu sou técnico estrangeiro em outros países. Mas acho que há gente capacitada no Brasil para o cargo. O Mano não conseguiu aproveitar quase nada de 2010 e não se faz uma seleção da noite para o dia.

Torres, em seguida, disse que aprovaria a vinda de Guardiola, desde que houvesse tempo para implantar uma nova filosofia de treinamentos e táticas.

- Não tenho nada contra um estrangeiro assumir, desde que tenha tempo para chegar e colocar em prática uma nova cultura, uma nova filosofia, especialmente de treinamentos, que são muito diferentes na Europa.

Informado, já no fim do talk show, de que Carlos Alberto Parreira e Felipão estariam confirmados para os cargos de diretor de seleções e treinador, respectivamente, Zico foi só elogio:

- São pessoas que ajudaram o Brasil a conquistar títulos mundiais e acho que o Brasil está bem entregue. Tenho o maior respeito e carinho e a felicidade de ser amigo dos dois.

Assino embaixo nas declarações do Carlos Alberto e de Zico, menos na de Paulo Cesar “Caju”, entendo perfeitamente que podemos muito bem ser chamados para ser técnicos em outros Países, como Zico afirma e é, mas uma coisa é uma coisa, o Brasil não pode nem deve chamar alguém de fora para vir ensinar nosso futebol. Pode até chamar para nos dar aulas de marketing, planejamento, futebol profissional, desenvolvimento, etc, etc., mas nunca no futebol jogado.  

E quando Romário fala impropérios sobre esta situação, também assino embaixo, pois como ele, existem poucos no mundo, dentro de campo e fora dele, já mostrou que de otário não tem nada. Precisamos sim, mudar esta situação do futebol brasileiro, e se já havia um nome, porque esconder, não faz sentido.

Outra coisa que devemos ter em mente é a questão dos rendimentos, ontem estive conversando sobre o Parreira ser o diretor de Seleções, e lembro que o Andrés Sanchez, recebia 50.000 mensal + despesas pagas,  será que o Carlos Alberto Parreira irá querer assumir com um piso salarial desse, além de que um Técnico como Felipão que recebia em torno de 600.000  mensais do Palmeiras, vai querer baixar para 1/3 disso, que é o que a CBF paga. E o próprio Pep, viria ser Técnico da Seleção sem olhar o salário, por quê? Porque sabe que este é o melhor emprego no futebol mundial, quem assumir estará na mídia do mundo.

Faz-se necessário que a múmia paralítica que assumiu a CBF, tenha um colegiado de notáveis que trabalham no e com futebol, não se pode passar por sobre o interesse nacional pois o que ele fez foi colocar alguém que lhe interessa somente, alguém de sua amizade e este cargo transcende a isso, além é claro de precisar fazer uma enquete nacional com o povo, com os técnicos, jornalistas, enfim, até com os próprios jogadores, para se decidir quem seria o novo Técnico de nossa seleção, pois a ditadura já acabou e faz tempo. Ou ele pensa que é o Senhor dos Anéis, além de que, este cargo é maior e mais importante que o de ser presidente do Brasil, ou alguém tem dúvida, eu não.

Revie, que está no País discutindo acordos para a convenção - que ocorre pelo terceiro ano seguido no Rio de Janeiro, entre 24 e 28 de novembro -, lembrou-se da situação da Liga Inglesa de futebol 20 anos atrás para vislumbrar uma melhoria do mercado brasileiro. "Éramos um lixo absoluto para gerir nosso futebol. Tínhamos os hooligans, estádios vazios, uma gestão horrorosa. Foi então que formamos a Premier League, e hoje temos uma das ligas mais atraentes do futebol mundial", conta. "Nós trazemos gente para a SOCCEREX que fala dessa experiência e pode ajudar o Brasil. Uma liga de sucesso não se faz do dia para a noite. Demoramos 20 anos para torná-la realidade no Reino Unido. O CEO da SOCCEREX, que vive em Manchester, acredita que a Copa do Mundo já está trazendo mais desenvolvimento para o Brasil. "A coisa engraçada é que, se você olha para a Olimpíada que vai ocorrer agora em Londres, as pessoas costumam se perguntar: 'por que Londres precisa de Jogos Olímpicos? Qual o legado disso?' Os Jogos Olímpicos possibilitaram que fosse feita uma grande recuperação daquela região", diz Revie. "Hoje em dia, se você fosse perguntar para qualquer pessoa, há uma boa chance de que ela achasse que a Grã-Bretanha é mais rica que o Brasil. E isso não é verdade. A Copa do Mundo vai trazer o seu próprio legado para o país."

A SOCCEREX aportou no Brasil antes da Copa e há estimativa de que sejam movimentados mais de R$ 140 bilhões, segundo estudo do SEBRAE. Segundo o CEO da convenção, o evento é uma oportunidade não apenas para grandes clubes ou empresas enormes prospectarem mercado e fazerem negócios. Uma fatia do bolo pode ficar para os pequenos empresários.

"O conceito é de networking. Não basta apenas pagar, sentar e ouvir. Nós temos uma responsabilidade de ver o seu negócio e te colocar em frente a empresas que possam fazer negócios com você", afirma Revie. No ano passado, 4,5 mil pessoas passaram pela convenção, inclusive cidades-candidatas a se tornarem subsedes da Copa do Mundo - vão hospedar e ceder centros de treinamento para as seleções. Porque caso isto não aconteça dificilmente teremos outra oportunidade de reverter esta catastrófica administração do futebol profissional Brasileiro que é cheio de amadorismo e o que é pior de aproveitadores e metidos a entendedores de futebol. E tem que começar pela própria Confederação Brasileira de Futebol, que nos dá todos os dias exemplos danosos e ineficientes de uma administração que está perdida num emaranhado de arrumadinhos e conchaves.

Precisamos mudar e esta é a oportunidade.
