A Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) selou um acordo de sete anos-e-um-meia que vai ver MasterCard tornar-se um novo patrocinador da equipe nacional.

O gigante dos serviços financeiros apoiará a seleção brasileira até Janeiro de 2020 em um acordo anunciado na terça-feira.

A MasterCard vai se juntar a Nike, Itaú, Vivo, Ambev, Seara, Nestlé, Pão de Açúcar, Gillette, Volkswagen e TAM no portfólio da CBF parceiro oficial.

"Patrocinar a equipe brasileira está desenvolvendo uma experiência que não tem preço", disse João Pedro Paro, vice-presidente comercial da MasterCard Brasil. "O Brasil é o segundo maior mercado para este meio de pagamento no mundo.

"Muitos colegas desta Casa talvez não gostem de ouvir o que eu digo, mas são pessoas que não têm seriedade. Aqui tem muito mau caráter. Gente que, definitivamente, não é do bem."

Sobre o Mundial a ser realizado no país, Romário voltou a criticar o andamento das obras. 

"O Brasil não vai fazer a maior Copa de todos os tempos. E não adianta ficar pirando! Vamos passar vergonha. Será a Copa da mentira, onde tudo será tudo maquiado", disparou. "Não estou chamando ninguém de ladrão, só estou dizendo que vão roubar. Isso é claro e já estou prevendo."

O Baixinho não poupou suas alfinetadas nem ao ex-companheiro de seleção Ronaldo "Fenomeno", atualmente diretor do Comitê Organizador Local (COL) da Copa de 2014.

Romário ironizou o desejo do Fenômeno de se tornar presidente da CBF. "Ele diz que quer ser presidente da CBF, mas só depois que passar a confusão da Copa. Assim é fácil", disparou.

Parece que Romário está levando a carreira politica a sério, é provavelmente o único que ainda continua falando as verdades que precisam ser ditas e esperamos que estejam vindo do coração, pois o Brasil precisa disso.

Toda essa fartura, segundo alta fonte do futebol, teria provocado a cobiça de alguns dirigentes de federações estaduais que não estão alinhados com Teixeira.

O presidente da CBF, antes de anunciar a sua permanência no comando da entidade, teria detectado um movimento dos cartolas para a sua queda. E até por isso resolveu fazer mistério sobre o seu futuro. Quis ter a certeza de quem estava do seu lado e quem remava contra.
