O mais antigo "consertador de bola" do Recife, Cícero Pereira da Silva é outro brasileiro que não gostou da bola da Copa.

Coitada da Jabulani. A bola oficial da Copa do Mundo da África do Sul ganhou mais uma crítica. Mas desta vez, não foi outro jogador de futebol que falou mal da pelota. As reclamações vieram de nada mais, nada menos, que de Cícero Pereira da Silva, ou simplesmente, o "Fura Couro". Trata-se do maior e mais antigo "consertador de bolas" da cidade do Recife

O quiosque, a tenda, o balcão, ou como você preferir chamar o local de trabalho dele, fica localizado na Rua Sete de Setembro, no Centro. O espaço existe desde 1986 e é imediatamente lembrado pelos peladeiros da cidade que estão com problemas em suas respectivas bolas de futebol. Não importa se ela está furada, rasgada, oval, murcha... De acordo com Fura Couro, "até em bola de gude se dá um jeito".

Sabendo disso, a reportagem do Super esportes decidiu saber a opinião de Fura Couro sobre a maior polêmica desta Copa até este momento: a Jabulani. A bola e o "doutor" ficaram frente à frente por alguns minutos. O clima ficou silencioso, tenso. Ele sequer colocou abola no chão, nem chutou ou cabeceou.

A avaliação foi simples e direta. Após olhar e apertar com as duas mãos ele, finalmente, fez sua análise: "É boa, mas poderia ser bem melhor. O problema dela é o peso, está muito leve. Deveriam ter reforçado o revestimento, a fibra poderia ser mais pesada", disse com segurança, transmitindo aquele sentimento de quem realmente sabe do que está falando.

O ideal mesmo, segundo Fura Couro, é que a bola voltasse a ser feita de couro. "Não estou desaprovando, dá para jogar. Mas seria melhor, se fosse de couro, mas ninguém faz mais assim, pois é mais cara e se desgasta em menos tempo. Hoje é tudo de material sintético para economizarem e ganharem mais dinheiro, explicou o doutor das pelotas.

Todos que tiveram a bola nas mãos, falaram que a Jabulani é muito leve, puro engano, todas as bolas para ganharem o selo de aprovação da FIFA, tem que ter seu peso dentro das normas, e todas são quase iguais, porque existe uma tolerância de algumas gramas, somente.

O que acontece, é que a bola por ser feita em máquina, e costurada eletronicamente (sem a mão humana) fica perto da perfeição. Além de ter menos gomos, fica, portanto, sem aquele atrito normal das costuras e da variação de pesos entre um gomo e outro, como falei anteriormente, antes a bola era cortada por seres humanos, passiveis de erros e, além disso, tudo, costurada à mão, o que deixava diferenças entre cada bola, sem falar que o couro tinha diferente espessura. Hoje as bolas são exatamente iguais, só dependendo de sua quantidade de ar, porque, o seu material é artificial, feito numa máquina.

Poderei melhorar esta explicação quando colocar uma nas mãos, provavelmente não vou precisar jogar com ela. Pois já temos muitos recursos disponíveis para falar com propriedade sobre esta nova bola.
