A diretoria do São Paulo conta como certa a saída de Marcelinho Paraíba. O meia deve ser emprestado até o fim do ano para o Sport.
Apesar do interesse dos pernambucanos, o que tem pesado contra a transação é o alto salário do jogador. O Tricolor não quer pagar e pede que o Sport arque com o total. Outro ponto que joga contra é que Paraíba está reticente em disputar a segundadivisão.
Contratado do Coritiba no início deste ano, Marcelinho era visto como uma das grandes apostas da diretoria são-paulina para conquistar os títulos deste ano.
Artilheiro pelo Coritiba no ano passado, o clube paranaense acabou rebaixado para a Série B, e Marcelo Paraíba, que já namorava o São Paulo há algum tempo, acabou concretizando sua transferência para o Tricolor.
Apesar da boa estréia, marcando um golaço contra a Portuguesa, no Morumbi, Marcelinho perdeu espaço no São Paulo para outros jogadores. As más atuações e as críticas fizeram com que o experiente meia fosse para o banco, onde esta até hoje. O jogador tem contrato com o Sampa até o fim de 2011.
