UEFA president Michel Platini has admitted that Germany or Hungary could be asked to provide venues for the Euro 2012 if Ukraine fails to show progress by the end of this month.
O presidente da UEFA, Michel Platini admitiu que a Alemanha ou a Hungria possam ser consultadas se querem fornecer proposta para realizarem a EURO 2012 se a Ucrânia falhar em mostrar progresso até o final deste mês.
The country was given a deadline by Platini last month to show it can step up preparations in its four venues and co-host the event with Poland, which will provide the same number of stadiums.
O País recebeu esta data final por Platini no mês passado para poder mostrar se pode realizar e ter como coadjuvante a Polônia, que deverá mostrar o mesmo número de estádios.
“An option could be to have six venues in Poland. Maybe UEFA could also ask Hungary or Germany if they could or would want to jump in with two stadiums,” the Frenchman told the German Football Federation website.
“Uma opção será a de ter apenas 6 locais para o evento na Polônia. Talvez a UEFA pergunte a Hungria ou Alemanha se eles poderão ou querem entrar com estes dois estádios,” falou o francês ao website da Federação Alemã de Futebol.
However, Platini stressed that he still believes Ukraine “will complete all the necessary work on time”.
Todavia, Platini estressado acredita que a Ucrânia “completará todo o trabalho necessário em tempo”.
