O Corinthians ainda busca as melhores maneiras de garantir os R$700 milhões necessários para erguer o "Fielzão" e Rosemberg garante que não haverá dinheiro público envolvido na construção.
"Tem gente que fala que é pegar dinheiro da prefeitura e colocar no estádio. O BNDES não está botando nada aqui, está emprestando com garantias totais. Estamos ultimando um modelo de financiamento e estamos muito perto de equacionar. Já temos uma via, mas achamos que podemos ter outra. Vamos fazer isso (iniciar as obras) quando estiver tudo muito bem equacionado, não estou operando em ritmo de UTI", disse o vice-presidente de marketing corintiano.
Um impasse que também estaria dificultando o início das obras do estádio corintiano seria a liberação do terreno pela Prefeitura. No entanto, nesta semana, o Corinthians assinou um acordo com o Ministério Público e com a prefeitura de São Paulo se comprometendo a investir R$12 milhões no desenvolvimento social da região de Itaquera para conseguir a liberação do terreno. Rosemberg garante que esse não é mais um problema para o Corinthians reiterou que o início da construção do estádio depende apenas do clube e da empresa Odebrecht.
"Era uma questão de vida ou morte. Não colocaria um trator lá enquanto não tivesse uma decisão favorável. Isso passou. Agora quem controla o começo da obra é realmente Corinthians e Odebrecht", completou.
