A própria fazenda, sede de grandes festas na fase do poder, está à venda. Um restaurante e uma boate que ele tinha no Rio de Janeiro foram fechados. E o apartamento onde vivia, no Leblon, já foi vendido.
Sua estratégia é desfazer-se de todos os bens e enviar o dinheiro para bem longe do alcance da Justiça brasileira, no caso de um pedido de bloqueio de bens. No último ano, ele comprou um apartamento em Paris e uma casa em Boca Raton, na Flórida. É lá que, a partir de agora, pretende viver com a mulher e a filha de 9 anos. Em seus últimos dias como presidente da CBF, Teixeira usou a caneta para demitir aliados fiéis — e brindá-los com indenizações polpudas. Seu tio Marco Antonio Teixeira deixou a entidade com 2 milhões de reais no bolso. Antônio Osório, diretor financeiro, recebeu mais de 1 milhão de reais.
Teixeira ainda se esforçou para manter algum poder, e alguns negócios, por meio da nomeação de aliados na CBF. Para a organização da Copa, ele designou o ex-jogador Ronaldo. E, para comandar as seleções, o escolhido foi o ex-presidente do Corinthians Andrés Sanchez, amigo de Lula. O ex-governador de São Paulo José Maria Marin, seu sucessor natural no cargo, joga no mesmo time. Mas o único que deve sobreviver é Ronaldo, mesmo assim com poderes reduzidos. Marin, que em janeiro foi pilhado embolsando uma medalha destinada aos campeões de um torneio de futebol amador, não deverá chegar a esquentar a cadeira da presidência.
A mando da presidente Dilma Rousseff, o deputado Vicente Cândido, do PT paulista, já começou a articular com clubes e federações um nome de consenso para assumir o posto. Hoje, o principal candidato é Marco Polo Del Nero, presidente da Federação Paulista. Também a mando da presidente, o deputado começa a procurar em bancos e empreiteiras um gestor para assumir as operações do Comitê Organizador Local.
A presidente teme que escândalos de corrupção na construção de estádios ou em contratos com fornecedores da Copa manchem a imagem do Brasil e de seu governo no exterior — motivo pelo qual patrocinou a saída de Teixeira. A retirada de campo de um nome que, por mais de duas décadas, estrelou escândalos de fraude e corrupção, patrocinou conchavos políticos e disseminou maus hábitos por onde passou não vai purificar o futebol brasileiro. Mas é certo que ele passará a respirar melhor.
Se podem manchar? Tenha certeza disto presidenta, manchou e muito, mas a FIFA não quer nem admite que governo nenhum se intrometa no futebol? E a saída disto tudo é centrar isto em lavagem de dinheiro, sonegação de impostos, etc., e não no futebol, pois o mesmo foi somente o efeito a causa mesmo, é a desonestidade de quem está nele, do contrário vamos escutar algumas tentativas vindas da suíça de não querer fazer a Copa do Mundo no Brasil.
Só não dá muito certo é termos Ronaldo e Bebeto metidos nisto, neste mar de corrupção.
