O italiano Fabio Capello, técnico da seleção da Inglaterra, contará com a ajuda de um novo auxiliar inglês - o terceiro - a partir de setembro.
A má atuação do 'English Team' na Copa do Mundo da África do Sul fez com que Capello aceitasse um novo auxiliar além dos dois que já o acompanham: Stuart Pearce e Ray Clemence.
Pearce, que é técnico do time inglês Sub-21, não está sempre disponível para acompanhar os treinos da seleção principal. Por isso, a Federação quer contratar o novo auxiliar.
- Selecionamos os novos técnicos pensando que possam substituir Capello em alguns anos. Queremos escolher, então, um entre vários técnicos ingleses - disse Adrian Bevington, dirigente da Federação do país.
A Federação Inglesa também quer nomear um novo presidente independente após a renúncia do Lorde Triesman, em maio.
Triesman foi obrigado a deixar o cargo depois dizer em conversa privada, que foi gravada e levada à imprensa, que a Federação Espanhola estava tentando subornar árbitros que apitariam a Copa do Mundo da África do Sul.
A Inglaterra estréia em setembro nas eliminatórias para a Euro Copa de 2012, enfrentando a Bulgária em Wembley no dia 3 e a Suíça, fora de casa, no dia 7. Antes, porém, no dia 11 de Agosto, o time pega a Hungria em amistoso.
Vejam só, acabei de comentar sobre um possível colegiado de notáveis para dirigirem nossa Seleção Brasileira e o exemplo vem dos inventores do futebol e que estão amargando um grande jejum com sua Seleção Nacional (English Team). O exemplo vem de quem está lá embaixo amargando a falta de títulos há muito mais tempo e, portanto, com muito mais causa e experiência para comentar sobre isto.
Que tal a CBF olhar com carinho para este exemplo antes que as coisas cheguem neste extremo aqui em nosso País. Para que possamos já em 2014 voltar a gritar é Campeão.
