Santos ainda não perdeu nesta temporada quando atuou sem sua principal estrela.
A vitória do Santos nesta quinta-feira, contra o Cerro Porteño, por 2 a 1, em Assunção, serviu não apenas para salvar a equipe da eliminação precoce na Copa Libertadores, mas também para confirmar uma contradição do time em 2011. Sem seu principal astro em campo, o clube alvinegro alcançou sua 12ª partida de invencibilidade e segue com aproveitamento de 83% dos pontos disputados.
O camisa 11 não esteve presente em 12 dos 23 embates santistas no ano e, com ele nos gramados, o Santos triunfou apenas três vezes. Além disso, foi derrotado em outras quatro e alcançou quatro empates, com média de 40% dos pontos obtidos.
Sem Neymar, os números são bastante convincentes. O time praiano venceu nove das 12 partidas, com outros três empates, e segue invicto sem a presença do maior ídolo de sua torcida na atualidade.
Para completar, o número de gols marcados sem Neymar em campo é maior que o dobro da quantidade de vezes que o Santos balançou as redes quando o camisa 11 marcou presença no estádio. São 31 gols sem ele, e outros 14 com o atacante em campo - destes, apenas quatro foram marcados pelo próprio Neymar.
O Santos começou a temporada com tudo, com a presença do técnico Adílson Batista no banco de reservas. Permaneceu invicto até a décima partida, mas sucumbiu frente ao seu maior rival, o Corinthians - já com o camisa 11 entre os titulares.
Nas primeiras partidas da temporada, Neymar esteve ausente, pois defendeu a Seleção Brasileira Sub-20, que foi campeã sul-americana no Peru - competição em que o santista sagrou-se artilheiro, com nove tentos. Posteriormente, ficou de fora por compromissos com o time principal do Brasil e também por ganhar folga no período de Carnaval.
Na última quinta-feira, Neymar não entrou em campo contra o Cerro pois cumpria suspensão automática, devido ao cartão vermelho recebido contra o Colo Colo, na quarta passada. Na ocasião, o camisa 11 celebrou um gol com uma máscara e recebeu seu segundo amarelo na partida.

Será mera casualidade ou pode ser interpretado como outra coisa. Por exemplo, quando Neymar está em campo a bola tem que passar invariavelmente por ele, ou seja, tudo flui para ele e aí resulta nisto.
Sei que Muricy não precisa deste tipo de alerta, pois sabe tudo e também espero que não seja precisamente isto, o ego do Neymar influindo negativamente no rendimento do grupo sabe-se que existem jogadores de alto nível que precisam desta massagem no “ego”, e de serem o motor da equipe, sem querer dividir com mais ninguém, o que sempre prejudica o coletivo.
