ENQUANTO O CORINTHIANS CRESCE, O FLAMENGO SEGUE PARADO NO TEMPO / WHILE CORINTHIANS GROWS, FLAMENGO FROZENS IN THE TIME.

O Flamengo parece parado no tempo.

Flamengo have the major number of fans in Brazil. Corinthians is the second. Flamengo appeared in recent studies outside the group of four clubs in the country that most make money, the first is Corinthians. Flamengo don’t have stadium. The Corinthians have (and here, this time, we will not talk about details as public money on private work, political influence in the process, issues widely discussed earlier in this space).

Flamengo start now to build a Training Center. Corinthians already have one. The Flamengo was champion of the Brazilian Championship Series A in 2009. Corinthians in 2011. Flamengo was eliminated from the Copa Libertadores at the first group stage. Corinthians will decide the title with the powerful and feared Boca Juniors. Flamengo lives amid the eternal political chaos. Corinthians is much more peaceful, although some poles fighting behind the scenes begin to emerge, still contained.

Flamengo seems frozen in time. The Corinthians clearly goes up without administrations that may be considered 100% perfect model, which would be a utopia. Flamengo still having more titles over the club from Sao Paulo but we do not know how long. The Corinthians tries to assume the role of protagonist in the great national football, and in the continent.

Looks like Flamengo, if not changes the course, soon will only have an advantage over the Corinthians in number of fans. And make no mistake, even this may change. It would take time, but may change. Even more impressive is that the red and black top directors do not seem to realize this.

I have nothing against the person of the president of the Flamengo, I know that she was a great athlete and loves the club as her own home, but until then, okay, here is another problem and I am sorry for her. The football and the people that interact, most of them are crooks, creeps and irresponsible.

It happened to me once, on a fine day I received an invitation to take a club from a small town, it was just a mess, a great deception, I was wrong to believe that those people without decency and without principles could be trustful. That club just had a name and debts, thus a license from a dishonest Federation and a bunch of fans fooled. Not had even an office room, only debts and problems for those who take over and even today I’m treat like a thief, a liar and a person who don’t knows professional football.

I really did not know about those people who get in football and just want to take advantage and even without knows the football matters, and does not seek to understand, they don’t have interested in its development. Logically, becoming a professional football executive, occupying all his time, one has to get paid for it, but one thing has nothing to do with the other, because looting the institution and try to do something that is not known or when you have it is different, we should not, nor can, because they end up with their own source of income.

But unfortunately in Brazil begins in own CBF disrepair and the thought that we must take advantage and loot any organization or even roll over their debts, without compromise with it, leaving the problem to the next manager. Or, when have intelligence and a good vision statement that football is one of the best and largest business profitable in the world, a clean industry, if administered properly, and then when they know that, they want to take care of the institution forever, see what happens at FIFA, CBF, Federations and major Brazilian clubs.

Needless to say anything else more.

Manchester United has agreed a five-year partnership that sees Chevrolet become its new automotive partner, with the club seeking to use the deal to boost its presence in North America and the company aiming to tap into United’s huge fan base to further establish itself as a global brand.
The agreement sees the General Motors-owned brand replace Audi in the role, with the German automotive giant last month agreeing a similar deal with United’s Barclays Premier League rival Chelsea. General Motors is hoping to benefit from United’s fan base, which was this week estimated at 659 million people, to boost its Chevrolet brand, especially in such growing Asia car markets as China, where the club has 108 million fans. “If our aspirations are to build global icon status for Chevrolet…soccer far and away is the world’s biggest sport,” GM executive director of global marketing strategy, Paul Edwards, told Reuters. “Manchester United stands head and shoulders above the other teams in terms of scale, brand value and their legacy in the sport.”
GM’s decision to sponsor United comes after it last month elected to drop advertising from Facebook and next year’s broadcast of the National Football League’s Super Bowl. GM will not advertise during television coverage of the 2013 Super Bowl due to price increases put in place by the game’s broadcast rights-holder the CBS network. GM ran four adverts during NBC’s coverage of this year’s NFL showpiece game, with each 30-second slot costing around US$3.5 million. CBS is reportedly seeking $4 million per spot for next year’s game.
While Edwards maintained the decision to withdraw from the Super Bowl isn’t related to the United deal he outlined the difference in global impact of the two brands. When United played its ultimately title-deciding game against bitter rival Manchester City “that audience around the world scaled to 600 million people,” Edwards added to Bloomberg. “Compare that to the Super Bowl here in the States, which is roughly 110, 115 million, and you’re talking five times that audience watching one regular-season game. It’s significant.”
Commenting on the Chevrolet deal, Richard Arnold, United’s commercial director, said in a statement: “With 659 million United fans and followers around the world, the commitment that Chevrolet is making to football and its plans to bring these fans closer to our club is very exciting for us. This is also the first time we have teamed up with a US automotive partner and with the growing popularity of the club and English football in America we are hoping the relationship will allow us to further expand our fan base in the country.”
Meanwhile, here our football are flying low, without ideas, without attitude and without planning, and especially international business and long-term sponsorship as this five-year closed by these giants Manchester and GM. Football outside strides, forward, with dazzling ideas and plans and here we are increasingly coming down the hill and aft back steps.

And here in the land of “tupiniquins” continues with the "mess" judicial with the Divisions C and D, which should have started, two weeks ago, stopped and everything is running a serious risk, to not start, the leaders of the CBF, will evaluate how much to put in football (around 30 million) and suddenly decide not to perform the competition, sinking further clubs have mistreated and mismanaged.

And thanks to "uptight" the former president Ricardo Teixeira, who left a great legacy of unresolved business, with news of extra fees, wrong commissions and trades under the table. Well, the result is the same, no one understands, the clubs are going to court against the common rules of FIFA that although, says one thing and do quite another. It's that thing, "Do what I say, but do not do what I do” if you do that, everything goes well.
