Novas imagens aéreas feitas pela agência de notícias Reuters mostram que os anéis inferiores do Maracanã estão praticamente todos demolidos.

As obras começaram em 2010 e a nova arena está prevista para ficar pronta antes da Copa das Confederações, que será em 2013 --até o momento, Brasil e Japão estão garantidos na competição.

Nesta sexta-feira, a partir das 12h, o estádio reabrirá as portas para os turistas.

Em fevereiro, o diretor da área Social do BNDES, Élvio Gaspar, afirmou que o banco pode levar em conta os questionamentos do TCU (Tribunal de Contas da União).

No início do mês, o órgão classificou como quase uma 'mera peça de ficção' o projeto de reforma do estádio carioca, que será palco da final da Copa-2014. Previsto para custar R$ 600 milhões, o valor já está em R$ 705 milhões, com 'indícios de graves irregularidades no processo licitatório'.

Segundo Gaspar, as obras já foram aprovadas pelo TCE (Tribunal de Contas do Estado), mas caso não recebam o aval do TCU, o banco pode até não fazer o financiamento. O diretor, porém, ressaltou que esse é o pior cenário e que espera que as dúvidas em relação às obras sejam resolvidas.

O problema é que há poucos dias foi pedido um aporte de mais verbas e sobe para R$ 1 MM de Reais os custos nestas reformas no Maracanã. Vamos ver no que vai resultar estes atrasos, mais todos nós sabemos que seria inevitável e sobre os desvios também resta saber até onde vamos.
