Finalmente estamos vendo os Estados Unidos avançarem para outra fase, mesmo sendo com um gol já nos acréscimos, quero lembrar que no jogo anterior, teve um gol legitimo anulado e finalmente se fez justiça. Mesmo sabendo que no futebol não se tem que esperar este tipo de equilíbrio, ganha quem fizer melhor seu dever de casa.
Não poderia deixar de escrever aqui nesta grande ocasião, principalmente numa Copa em que estamos presenciando a Itália, atual Campeã do Mundo e a França voltarem para casa, logo na primeira fase. E sem falar em quase todas as Seleções Africanas, que também arrumaram as malas e de onde se esperava muito mais.
Mas vamos aguardar os próximos confrontos e ver o que poderá acontecer com o País que sem saber jogar, trocou o nome do esporte de futebol para soccer; onde este esporte nada tem a ver, pois o futebol se joga com os pés, nunca se jogou com as mãos. E onde nunca se estruturou, pessoas que entram no negócio apenas visando os ovos de ouro da galinha, sempre tentaram usar mais o Marketing trazendo grandes estrelas, fazer grandes negócios de imediato, como se fosse tudo apenas um carnaval, ao invés de começar onde tem que ser; nos campos, nas escolinhas, nos bairros, olhando para o crescimento do esporte também em outros locais ao invés de começar pelo fim.
Parece que finalmente estão descobrindo, acordando para a realidade, ainda sinto muita pena, pois quando se quer falar algo para eles, a resposta é sempre a mesma, sabem de tudo. Mas pelo menos as garotas já estão bem adiantadas e firmadas no universo do futebol mundial. Agora queremos ver os homens também.
Na década de 80, patrocinei várias equipes femininas ao redor do País, cheguei também a patrocinar os Lazer’s em Los Angeles (Indoor Soccer no Forum)que tinha alguns Brasileiros, como Batata Nilton dos Santos, ex-jogador do Santos e da Seleção Brasileira, Beto e outros e que infelizmente não prosperou, lembro-me bem que tudo o que se faz neste País tem que ser o maior e o melhor, falta colocar os pés no chão.
O futebol é um dos maiores e mais lucrativo negócio do mundo mais tem que saber fazer e tenho certeza de que quando este gigante acordar se terá então mais um Campeão Mundial.

We are finally seeing the U.S. move to another stage, although with a goal in stoppage time, I remember that the last game had a goal annulled and legitimate justice finally done.
