Ex-mandatário do futebol mundial e ainda presidente de honra da FIFA, João Havelange não gostou de ver a Globo fazendo denúncias contra seu ex-genro e presidente da CBF, Ricardo Teixeira. Em entrevista à revista Poder, reproduzida em para na coluna de Mônica Bergamo na Folha de São Paulo, Havelange acusou a emissora carioca de fazer as denúncias apenas como forma de retaliação.
"Por que isso? Porque mudou o horário do jogo [transmitido por canais da Globo]. O Ricardo só não serve na hora que não faz as vontades. Enquanto interessou à Globo, era um gênio. No dia em que ele quis tomar uma medida que poderia ferir a emissora, ela se volta contra ele", disse João Havelange.

Vamos ver no que dará este começo de desentendimento entre a TV. Globo e a CBF. Briga de gigantes. Só acho que teria que tomar as rédeas de tudo isto, seria o Ministério dos Esportes a CGU e até mesmo a Procuradoria Federal para crimes contra o Estado, Receita Federal e Policia Federal.
