A segunda derrota em quatro jogos no Campeonato Brasileiro custou o
cargo do técnico Jorginho, do Flamengo. Após a partida diante do
Náutico, na qual o time perdeu por 1 a 0, em Florianópolis, nesta quarta-feira
à noite, a cúpula de futebol do Flamengo, com o vice-presidente de futebol,
Wallim Vasconcellos, e o diretor executivo de futebol, Paulo Pelaipe, se reuniu
na capital catarinense para discutir o futuro do treinador. Jorginho acabou
demitido após a reunião que ocorreu durante a madrugada.
Em site, Flamengo confirma demissão de Jorginho.

A avaliação interna é de que o treinador não conseguiu dar um
padrão de jogo à equipe, que caiu de rendimento após sua chegada. Apesar da
estreia vistosa contra o Santos, o time apresentou dificuldades para marcar
gols e ficou apenas no empate.
Depois, o time teve três apresentações ruins e,
atualmente, é o penúltimo colocado na tabela, com dois pontos. Além disso,
Jorginho foi vaiado e muito hostilizado pela torcida. Seu contrato era válido
até o fim de 2014. Em sua página no Facebook, o treinador lamentou a saída:
Família e amigos! Não sou mais o treinador do Flamengo!!! Foi
curto, mas foi uma honra ter trabalhado aqui!!! Procurei fazer o melhor de
todo o meu coração!!!
A torcida do Flamengo: minhas desculpas por não ter conseguido
bons resultados nesse início de Brasileiro!!! Obrigado a comissão técnica,
atletas e diretoria, pelo tempo que passamos juntos!!! Desejo sucesso no
Brasileirão!!! Deus abençoe. Jorginho.
Jorginho chegou ao Flamengo no fim de março, em substituição a
Dorival Júnior, que fora demitido devido ao alto salário. O técnico foi
escolhido por ser uma opção mais barata e estar disponível no mercado. Desde a
estreia com o Boavista, em um empate sem gols, o treinador comandou 14 jogos,
com sete vitórias, quatro empates e três derrotas. O time se classificou em
duas fases da Copa do Brasil, mas nem chegou às semifinais decisiva da Taça
Rio, sendo eliminado com duas rodadas de antecedência.
O auxiliar de Jorginho, Aílton, deixa o clube com o treinador.
No treino desta quinta-feira e no jogo de sábado, contra o Criciúma, o time
será comandado pelo outro auxiliar, Jayme de Almeida.
É uma pena ver que o problema do futebol brasileiro realmente passa
pela administração, ou você vence, ou você está na rua. Não interessa que
elenco você tem, não interessa se eles estão recebendo em dia, não interessa
nada, o negócio é demitir, pois dificilmente pagarão o acertado em contrato,
não existem meios que funcionem, ficam empurrando com a barriga, e isto
normalmente se perde nas causas emaranhadas de nossa justiça do trabalho e
normalmente o técnico não tem coragem, além de não quer ser conhecido como
traíra ou mal agradecido.
E isto tem que mudar pessoal, e urgentemente, pois da maneira
que vai nosso futebol muito em breve estará atrás até dele próprio, aliás para
a FIFA já estamos atrás de muita gente, passamos a barreira do vigésimo lugar e
continuamos a descer.

Jorginho came
to Flamengo in late March, replacing Dorival Júnior, who was fired due to high
salary. The head coach was chosen because it is a cheaper option and available
in the market. Since his debut with Boavista in a goalless draw, the coach
commanded 14 games, with seven wins, four draws and three defeats. The team
