O SEXTO DOS EMBAIXADORES BRASILEIROS NA COPA DO MUNDO NO BRASIL / THE SIXTH AMBASSADORS OF THE BRAZILIAN WORLD CUP

Natural de Dois Riachos, do estado de Alagoas, com 26 anos de idade, Marta Vieira da Silva foi nomeado pela FIFA, como a melhor das jogadoras do Mundo  por cinco anos consecutivos, entre 2006 e 2010. Em 2007, ela levou o Brasil à final do Mundial de Futebol Feminino Cup™ pela primeira vez em sua história , também ganhou da Adidas a Bola de Ouro e Bota de Ouro prêmios de melhor jogador e melhor marcador do torneio, que foi realizado na China PR.

Marta deixou o Brasil com apenas 18 anos para jogar no clube sueco UMEA. Lá, ela iria alcançar um sucesso imediato, ajudando seu novo clube a ganhar a Copa da UEFA Feminina em sua primeira temporada e celebrando quatro títulos da liga sueca.

Em 2009, ela se mudou para os EUA, onde ela iria ganhar dois campeonatos em três anos temporadas. Marta também teve uma passagem pelo Santos, levantando a Copa do Brasil e Copa Libertadores da américa do Sul. Ela então voltou para a Suécia em 2012, conquistando mais um título da liga, desta vez com o Tyreso FF.

Com o Brasil, Marta ganhou duas medalhas de prata em Atenas 2004 e Pequim 2008 nos Torneios Olímpicos de Futebol Feminino. Tive o grande prazer de ir a sua residência em Dois Riachos, conhecendo sua Mãe e irmãos e o local onde começou a jogar bola.

A native of Dois Riachos in the state of Alagoas, 26-year-old Marta Vieira da Silva was named FIFA World Player of the Year for five consecutive years between 2006 and 2010. In 2007 she led Brazil to the Final of the FIFA Women’s World Cup™ for the first time in their history, also claiming the adidas Golden Ball and adidas Golden Boot awards for best player and top scorer at that tournament in China PR.

Marta left Brazil aged just 18 to play for Swedish club Umea. There she would prove an immediate hit, helping her new side win the UEFA Women’s Cup in her first season and celebrating four Swedish league titles.

In 2009, she moved to the USA, where she would win two championships in three seasons.That year Marta also enjoyed a spell at Santos, lifting the Copa do Brasil and Copa Libertadores. She then returned to Sweden in 2012, winning another league title, this time with Tyreso FF.

With Brazil, Marta has won two silver medals at the Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008 Women's Olympic Football Tournaments. I had the great pleasure of going to his home in Two Creeks, knowing his mother and brothers and also knowing where he started playing soccer /football.
