England fans preparing for the match against Uruguay are attacked with missiles in a bar in Sao Paulo

England fans have been attacked by hooligans who threw explosives into their midst in a bar in Sao Paulo ahead of the match with Uruguay in the city.

According to some reports petrol bombs and “mortars” were thrown at the England supporters.

The incident happened outside the Guanabara and Planet Fruit bars next to the official FIFA Fan Fest area, where football fans can watch matches on a giant screen.
