Coritiba follows trend and also 'breaks' with Club 13/Coritiba segue tendência e também 'rompe' com Clube dos 13.

Veja abaixo a nota oficial do Coxa:

O Brasil precisa mudar agora.

Besides the big four of Rio de Janeiro and Corinthians Coritiba also decided to negotiate their TV rights separately.

The Coritiba decided to follow the "trend" and announced on Wednesday that it will independently negotiate broadcasting rights for their matches in the Brazilian Championship from 2012 to 2014. Before the talks were mediated by the Club of 13.

Earlier, the big clubs in Rio - Flamengo, Fluminense, Botafogo and Vasco - had already taken the same decision. But the Corinthians was even more radical and has detached itself from the institution.

Below is a statement of the Thigh:

"Given the controversy surrounding the contract negotiations of the future transmission of the Brazilian Championship and questioning the process by which this negotiation is being conducted, the Executive Board of Coritiba Foot Ball Club decided to preserve in the foreground, the legitimate interests the club and football paranaenses. We intend to negotiate directly with the companies concerned all commercial aspects related to these rights.

Look what's happening in Brazilian football in general, not only in the largest and most important football division of the country in football as a whole.

Without the clubs are linked to CBF, and are not under the Statute of FIFA and as we now? Let's start with a beginning, middle hazy after all this is over Brazil.

The CBF turned over management of the 1st Division to the 13 Club in the late 80's and before the Law Pelé was impossible and illegal to have another "league" if one can call it. And it strikes directly with the FIFA Statutes which does not admit the majority of practices carried out in Brazil, from club presidents and authoritarian, until players become owners of clubs, transfers, made it for anyone, companies involved in "Players Economic Rights" groups who manage lives and careers of players at different clubs more into one division, without administration transparency, in short, is so arbitrary that we are unable to explain them all at the same time.

First, the Act has enabled this, (Pelé Law) can thus say, in its wake remain even today only less than 5%, have been amended, suffered all sorts of adjustments to "whim" of who was interested in gaining more power and money. After this came other laws such as Zico Law, Law Maguito Vilela, ECAD, Code of Fan’s, finally, a fern of twists that increasingly complicate the Brazilian football.

Politicians today make and break the laws just given their coreligionists or even themselves. It's a total mess and a big tangle, considering what is happening here. Anyone can change that, look now.

Each of these presidents is leaving the Club of 13 and comes with the rhetoric that they are doing this for they club’s, this is it, you get it right, they are defending their institution. How will you be then? Who will be responsible for the Brazilian league's first division? They left the clubs of Rio de Janeiro, and Corinthians of Sao Paulo that is, they all have a direct understanding with TV Globo and the other had not gone out, and that is this city yet? More and Coritiba? Where does this whole story, will also negotiate with this station?

Are forgetting, or at least that's how we learned when we studied the FIFA Statutes, it is who controls, organizes and manages the football world through their Confederations / Federations, etc. And if she wants (read FIFA ) takes any of the football and indefinite time, as clubs are associations with more than one department of professional football, this is a grant from FIFA through its representatives (Confederation or Federation), including it's who makes the athlete "professional" and if they do not comply, they are out! And now?

Who will organize the Championships? How is participation in international competitions of the Brazilian clubs to get suspension according to FIFA, and FIFA will go back, too? And with the CBF and the Club it self of the Club of 13 businesses was not working as it should, imagine now that they're talking about creating some other league from those rebels clubs?

Where is the public prosecutor to defend the interests of Brazilian society, which buys "pay per view, buying tickets, which buys bonds of membership from clubs who not have respect for them who are not worth anything? Where is the OAB.

Where is the Federal Police Department to find out all this? Where is the Sports Minister to put the house in order, or football/soccer is bigger than all this? Where is the Labor Department to regulate labor contracts? The Minister of Health.

Anyway, where is everybody! Brazil has to show a new face, now.
