O Santos, porém, já planeja fazer um pedido para a CBF para adiar a data.
Isto porque, no dia 1º de junho, o Santos deve jogar a segunda partida das semifinais da Copa Libertadores da América, contra Cerro Porteño (Paraguai) ou Jaguares (México). Por isso, a tendência é que o clube seja atendido pela CBF, retardando em um dia a apresentação de Neymar e Elano ao grupo comandado por Mano Menezes.
"Tenho certeza que eles (CBF) vão ter o bom senso de liberar os jogadores, caso seja preciso", afirmou o gerente de futebol alvinegro, Nei Pandolfo, após a apresentação do atacante Richelly, nesta quinta-feira, no CT Rei Pelé.
Caso o Santos se qualifique para a decisão da Libertadores, a diretoria deve pedir a liberação do meia e do atacante dos compromissos com a seleção brasileira. Entretanto, a cúpula santista prefere ainda não se manifestar sobre essa hipótese.
Entre os companheiros de Neymar e Elano, a expectativa é poder contar com os dois, tanto no segundo duelo da semifinal da Libertadores, quanto em uma eventual final da competição.
"A gente nem pensa nisso (perder a dupla), principalmente se chegarmos à final. Mas, com certeza, a diretoria está atenta e não vai deixar isso acontecer. Com todo respeito à seleção, só que dois jogadores dessa importância não podem ficar de fora em uma final de Libertadores", concluiu Nei Pandolfo.
Nada mais justo, sensato e correto. O único time brasileiro na Libertadores não pode ser desfalcado de dois de seus principais jogadores, para jogar “amistosos” mesmo que influam no ranking da FIFA para uma melhor colocação do Brasil, mas, só faltava esta da CBF não entender, eu nem os convocaria, caso fosse o Mano Menezes.
Temos que agir com inteligência e bom senso ao invés de usar o coração somente.
