O caso da equipe inglesa aconteceu em 2009. Na ocasião, o Lens, da França, denunciou o Chelsea após os Blues aliciarem o atacante Gael Kakuta antes de ele completar 18 anos.

Após estudar o caso, a FIFA puniu a equipe de Londres com duas janelas de transferência sem poder contratar, mais multa de 130 mil euros, que foi paga ao Lens.

Em fevereiro de 2010, no entanto, o Chelsea entrou com recurso no TAS (Tribunal Arbitral do Esporte) e conseguiu acabar com a proibição, após entrar em acordo com o clube francês.

Durante este tempo, Kakuta também levou punição e ficou quatro meses sem poder atuar em jogos oficiais, além de ter que pagar uma multa de 780 mil euros.

O atacante, aliás, nunca vingou na Inglaterra. Desde que foi contratao, ele atuou poucas vezes pelos Blues, sendo emprestado para clubes como Fulham, Bolton, Dijon e Vitesse. Atualmente, está na Lazio, da Itália, além de atuar pela seleção sub-21 da França.

Eles não aprendem nunca, aliás, a ganância e a falta de transparência mandam no futebol mundial. Não é somente um privilégio Brasileiro (ainda bem).
