Ronaldo foi confirmado nesta quinta-feira como membro do Comitê Organizador Local (COL) da Copa de 2014. Convidado pelo presidente Ricardo Teixeira, que também comanda a Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF), o ex-jogador terá um cargo no Conselho de Administração, para, segundo ele, trabalhar como a 'voz' da organização do Mundial no Brasil.
'Ronaldo é a voz perfeita para o momento de conciliação em torno da Copa de 2014', discursou o presidente da CBF e do COL, Ricardo Teixeira, num rápido pronunciamento ao anunciar a contratação do ex-jogador para a função. O evento foi no Rio. 'Vou trabalhar como a voz do Comitê', confirmou o ídolo do futebol mundial, em entrevista.
'Queria agradecer pelo convite e dizer que aceito esse grande desafio, que, para mim, é uma honra', disse Ronaldo, já adiantando qual será sua missão.
