O novo presidente do Barcelona, Josep María Bartomeu, declarou nesta quarta-feira sobre suas primeiras decisões à frente do clube catalão. O dirigente abordou o tema da transferência de Neymar, se mostrando convencido sobre as explicações dadas pelo antigo mandatário, Sandro Rosell.

"A transferência de Neymar foi exemplar, não teve nada de obscuro. Rosell abandonou o clube por razões pessoais e não por pressões judiciais e sociais", afirmou Bartomeu à rádio espanhola Onda Zero.

Outro tema discutido por Bartomeu foi a permanência de Lionel Messi no Barcelona: "Não podemos vendê-lo, porque é o melhor jogador do mundo. O desejo da maioria dos torcedores, e acredito que também do próprio atleta, é terminar sua carreira aqui".

Ainda sobre a derrota na última rodada do Campeonato Espanhol, contra o Valencia, que tirou o Barça da liderança da competição, o novo presidente classificou o revés como "tropeço" e afirmou que o time está forte e preparado.
