A MENOS DE UM MÊS PARA A COPA, VALCKE AFIRMA QUE “HÁ MUITO POR FAZER” / LESS THAN A MONTH TO THE WORLD CUP, VALCKE SAID THAT, “THERE IS MUCH TO DO”

São Paulo, 19 maio (EFE).- O secretário-geral da FIFA, Jérôme Valcke, rejeitou nesta segunda-feira que os brasileiros não queiram a realização do Mundial 2014 e afirmou que 'há muito por fazer' a 24 dias do início torneio.

'Temos dias de muito trabalho pela frente, já que ainda há muito trabalho por fazer em um esforço coletivo da FIFA, do Comitê Organizador Local, do governo federal, das cidades-sedes e dos estados', indicou Valcke, em uma coluna que é publicada todos os meses no portal da entidade.

No comunicado, o secretário-geral, que se instalou hoje no Brasil até o final do torneio para supervisionar as organizações e obras por terminar, se mostrou otimista.

'Não há dúvidas: vai ter Copa', enfatizou.

'Em verdade, o Mundial da FIFA já chegou ao Brasil, todo o planeta o está seguindo com expectativa. Ao longo das próximas oito semanas, estaremos juntos para escrever a história que começou há sete anos - uma história de êxito para todos nós: Brasil e a FIFA', afirmou.

Valcke rejeitou a ideia de que os brasileiros sejam contrários à realização do torneio, no marco de um cenário político onde são esperadas manifestações por parte de organizações que criticam a organização e as despesas excessivas do torneio.

Segundo a FIFA, disse Valcke, as enquetes de opinião respaldam a realização do Mundial, já que 75% dos entrevistados têm uma opinião 'positiva' do Mundial e 50% no mundo todo estão 'muito entusiasmados' com o evento.

'Isso também é reforçado pelas mais de 11 milhões de solicitações de entradas realizadas até o momento, número sem precedentes na história do evento. É possível sentir essa expectativa entre as 32 seleções e os torcedores do Brasil e de todo o planeta', ressaltou.

Valcke, que aterrissou hoje em São Paulo, afirmou que chegou ao país 'para ver que os toques finais da operação do Mundial da FIFA foram concluídos a tempo para o início do torneio'.

'Nossas equipes operacionais começarão a se expandir por todos os estádios para fazer as últimas instalações, como as salas de imprensa, os complexos de transmissão (...) tudo instalado de acordo com a apresentação esperada de um Mundial da FIFA', comentou.

A primeira parada se inicia nesta segunda-feira no estádio Arena de São Paulo, que na véspera recebeu a primeira partida oficial entre Corinthians e Figueirense perante 36.694 espectadores.

Está previsto que os estádios pendentes de inauguração oficial da FIFA sejam entregues à entidade nesta semana.

O primeiro estádio a ser entregue será o de São Paulo, na próxima quarta-feira, dia 21, que será palco da partida inaugural entre Brasil e Croácia em 12 de junho.

Os outros estádios que deverão ser entregues serão os de Curitiba, Natal e Salvador, em 25 de maio.

Três dias depois, em 28 de maio, está prevista a chegada da Austrália, a primeira seleção estrangeira que aterrissará no Brasil.

A Austrália terá seu centro de treino na cidade de Vitória.

Tenho certeza de que teremos sim uma Copa do Mundo, jogada em alto nível, não tenho certeza é de que fora do campo teremos Paz. Está se desenhando um ambiente cheio de protestos e confusões e o que pior, com muita violência, e espero está errado até porque o futebol não merece isto e muito menos nosso País.

Mas, como poderíamos ver ou ter as coisas separadas, se quem está no governo, é o primeiro a mostrar que o que vale é “levar vantagem em tudo”, até mesmo o Gerson que começou isto, não tem culpa de nada (pois quem imaginava que nosso País, poderia se tornar nesta porqueira que está virando).

I'm sure we will have a World Cup, played at a high level at the field, but I'm not sure that outside of the field we have Peace, we are drawing a full environmental of protests and confusion and worse, with much violence, and hope I wrong, because football does not deserve it, much less our country.

But, as we could see or have things apart, if whoever is in government, is the first to show that what matters is "take advantage of everything", even the Gerson who started this,(at marketing cigar  job – long time ago), is not guilty of anything because who imagined that our country could become this mass that is turning.
