Seis meses de tormenta. Foi assim que Joel Santana definiu sua última passagem pelo Flamengo. Em entrevista exclusiva aos canais ESPN, o técnico atualmente desempregado abriu o jogo sobre os problemas que teve de lidar no período que esteve no comando do time rubro-negro.
"Qual foi o dia que não tive tormenta no Flamengo? É só ver minha chegada e minha saída: problemas constantes, não ter uma pessoa do meu lado para conduzir o que acontecia... E olha que não foram poucos problemas. Estou cansado de pegar clubes que eu vou ter que ir lá para resolver problemas".
Joel também abriu o jogo sobre os problemas que cercaram a passagem, igualmente turbulenta de Ronaldinho Gaúcho pelo Flamengo. Nas palavras do próprio treinador, que tem mais de trinta anos de carreira, nesses últimos meses viu coisas que jamais havia visto no futebol.
"O Ronaldo é um craque, só que não houve entendimento, conversa... Todo dia uma situação diferente. Havia um mal-estar entre o Ronaldo e a direção, em função de fatores que eu não me envolvo. Eu pensei que já tinha visto quase tudo no futebol, mas só pensei. Aprendi muito nesses seis meses".
Na opinião do ex-técnico rubro-negro, o ano eleitoral no clube também atrapalhou muito seu trabalho. "Tinha fofoca todo dia. Em ano político, a primeira coisa que querem desestabilizar é o treinador, porque o futebol é carro-chefe. Se você desestabiliza o técnico, atinge o time. Disseram que briguei com o Ronaldo, Vagner Love, Deivid, Felipe... Briguei com tudo isso, mas não brigo com ninguém".
Apesar de tudo isso, o treinador agradeceu o apoio que sempre encontrou do torcedor flamenguista. "Jamais vou reclamar do Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, nem dos torcedores do Flamengo. Isso jamais vai acontecer à torcida sempre me tratou com muito carinho", afirmou.

para a faculdade, estudar, mesmo tendo sido boleiro.
