A revista World Soccer publicou a lista das 100 personalidades mais influentes do futebol mundial em 2008. A pesquisa publicada com o título -”Top 100 Movers and Shakers in World Football “Os Maiores que Movimentam e Balançam o Futebol no Mundo” teve como critério o poder e influência de diferentes personalidades ligadas ao futebol, desde jogadores a presidentes de associações e clubes, passando por empresários e homens de negócios.
