Ministro do Esporte não gostou das declarações do secretário-geral da FIFA sobre a organização da Copa do Mundo de 2014
O ministro do Esporte Aldo Rebelo cumpriu com a promessa feita no sábado e oficializou o pedido de afastamento do secretário-geral da FIFA, Jérôme Valcke, ao presidente da organização, Joseph Blatter. O político brasileiro afirmou que o francês não possui mais clima para negociar com o governo nacional após as declarações dadas recentemente.
No entanto, a carta enviada por Rebelo possui alguns erros. No início do ofício, o documento está endereçado para a cidade de Lausanne, também na Suíça, mas onde fica a sede do Comitê Olímpico Internacional. A FIFA fica em Zurique. O nome do presidente da entidade que comanda o futebol mundial está escrito como "Joseph Sepp Blatter". No entanto, Sepp é o apelido do dirigente, e não o sobrenome.
Incomodado com os atrasos nas obras dos estádios que abrigarão o Mundial e com o adiamento da votação da Lei Geral da Copa, Jerôme Valcke chegou a declarar que o Brasil estava mais interessado em vencer o torneio do que organizá-lo. Além disso, o dirigente da FIFA afirmou que todos os envolvidos no processo mereciam um ‘chute no traseiro’.
A polêmica atitude do secretário-geral da entidade que comanda o futebol mundial irritou o governo brasileiro, que disparou diversas críticas ao francês nos últimos dias. O próprio ministro do Esporte havia organizado uma coletiva no sábado para comunicar que o pedido de afastamento de Valcke seria formalizado nesta semana.
Com a carta enviada nesta segunda-feira, Aldo Rebelo espera ser ouvido por Joseph Blatter e ter seu pedido acatado pelo presidente da organização. Um comunicado oficial da entidade sobre a possível retirada de Valcke da organização do Mundial e a troca do responsável pela interlocução entre a FIFA e o governo brasileiro deverá ser formalizado nos próximos dias pelo próprio mandatário suíço.

Senhor Presidente,
1. Ao longo dos últimos anos, especialmente com a aproximação da Copa do Mundo FIFA 2014 no Brasil, as relações entre o Governo Brasileiro e a Fifa têm se pautado pelo mais alto nível de respeito, cordialidade e reciprocidade.
2. O Brasil sempre se portou, tanto na candidatura como na organização do mundial, de forma correta e consciente da sua capacidade de realizar a XX Copa do Mundo de Futebol.
3. Assim sendo, recebemos com espanto as inapropriadas declarações do senhor Jérôme Valcke nos últimos dias à imprensa internacional. A forma e o conteúdo das declarações escaparam aos padrões aceitáveis de convivência harmônica entre um país soberano como o Brasil e uma organização internacional centenária como a FIFA.
4. Diante desta realidade, o Governo Brasileiro não pode mais aceitar, nas suas tratativas com a FIFA, o Senhor Jérôme Valcke como interlocutor durante a preparação desse mundial.
5. Estamos empenhados e confiantes na construção de uma grande Copa.

Sports Minister did not like the statements of the Secretary-General on the organization of the FIFA World Cup 2014.
The Sports Minister Aldo Rebelo fulfilled the promise made on Saturday and made official the request for withdrawal of the FIFA general secretary Jerome Valcke, to the organization's president, Joseph Blatter. The Brazilian politician said that the French no more mood to negotiate with the national government after the statements given recently.
