Realizado nos dias 4 e 5 de agosto, com 624 pessoas entrevistadas e com margem de erro máxima de quatro pontos percentuais, para mais ou para menos, o levantamento aponta que 61% dos paulistanos são favoráveis à arena.

O futuro estádio do Corinthians que já começou a ser construído em Itaquera, na Zona Leste de São Paulo, e deve ser o palco do jogo de abertura da Copa do Mundo de 2014, conta com o apoio da ampla maioria dos paulistanos, inclusive de torcedores dos rivais Palmeiras, São Paulo e Santos. Mas a maior parcela dos moradores da capital paulista não se importa se a cidade receberá ou não a partida inaugural do Mundial.

É o que revelam os números da pesquisa Datafolha publicada na edição desta sexta-feira do jornal Folha de São Paulo. Realizado nos dias 4 e 5 de agosto, com 624 pessoas entrevistadas e com margem de erro máxima de quatro pontos percentuais, para mais ou para menos, o levantamento aponta que 61% dos paulistanos são favoráveis ao Itaquerão.

Os que disseram ser contra o novo estádio do Corinthians são 28%, enquanto 11% não souberam responder. O maior apoio, naturalmente, é dos torcedores corintianos (83%), mas boa parte dos são-paulinos (46%), dos palmeirenses (49%) e, principalmente, dos santistas (67%), também afirmaram que apóiam a construção da nova arena.

Entretanto, em relação à partida de abertura da Copa do Mundo de 2014 em São Paulo, os moradores da maior cidade do Brasil se mostram indiferentes. A pesquisa mostra que 60% dos entrevistados dizem que receber o primeiro jogo do Mundial não é "nada importante" para a capital paulista. Para 23%, é "pouco importante", e apenas para 17%, "muito importante".

Curiosamente, a maior indiferença em relação ao jogo inaugural da Copa do Mundo é verificada justamente entre os torcedores corintianos ­ para 70% deles, a abertura não é "nada importante". Acho que isto é justamente a falta de nível intelectual dos torcedores corintianos, que são considerados, “povo”, “mano”, pessoas simples, que infelizmente não tiveram condições de freqüentar escola de alfabetização e assim padecem de conhecimento, o que é uma pena. É por demais importante uma abertura de Copa do Mundo, quase todo o mundo estará vendo.

"Se a decisão fosse minha, São Paulo já estaria fora da abertura da Copa 2014. Faltam três anos e meio para a Copa e nada foi feito ainda", disse, no seminário 'Infra estrutura Turística, Megaeventos Esportivos e Promoção da Imagem do Brasil no Exterior', promovido pelo Tribunal de Contas da União (TCU).

Durante seu discurso, Romário avisou que falaria o que muitos presentes não gostariam de ouvir. Entre as declarações inesperadas, o deputado disse ter constatado, durante as visitas às cidades sede da Copa 2014, que o evento pode até deixar um legado esportivo e de mobilidade, mas nada será feito em relação a saúde, educação e inclusão de deficientes.

"Faço um pedido às pessoas importantes aqui presentes para que comecem a cobrar medidas em relação à preparação do Mundial de maneira diferente, pensando nesses legados. Infelizmente, a Copa de 2014 será do Brasil, mas não do brasileiro", completou.

É com imensa dor no coração que concordo com as palavras do “peixe”, sobre São Paulo está fora da Copa do Mundo em 2014. Pelo que foi feito até agora, entenda-se, pelo que NÃO foi feito.

Sei que esta cidade não merece isto, mas este bando de políticos que colocaram antes de seu dever (que era providenciar os meios para a cidade está na Copa) ficaram apenas discutindo politicagens e interesses individuais, ao invés do interesse coletivo.

É uma pena que isto esteja acontecendo justamente nesta grande oportunidade que o Brasil tem em receber um evento desta magnitude e que certamente os legados, que não serão apenas as obras, que estarão sendo feitas e permanecerá, o que ficará aqui certamente será o gostinho de sermos por alguns dias um País de primeiro mundo e o mais importante, é o conhecimento do que é ser país de primeiro mundo, isto é um dos legados da Copa do Mundo no Brasil em 2014.

Depois de tanta celeuma, disse e não disse chega-se a uma solução. E será que tem alguém que acreditará nisto? Acho que não, todavia isto é o nosso País, nossos administradores (políticos). O que é agora pode não ser logo mais, e provavelmente não será amanhã, todos os brasileiros já sabem disso.

Acredito que isto é outra piada, porque se o Estado de São Paulo e a torcida Corintiana não encher este estádio, quem encherá no Brasil? Ninguém. A torcida corinthiana lotará sem sombra de dúvidas esta nova Arena, falta é visão ou capacidade de visualizar o futuro deste grandioso clube.

"O presidente do Corinthians, na semana passada, me disse que no começo desta semana já estaria iniciando as obras. A gente realmente fica um pouco apreensivo. Mas de qualquer forma é uma coisa privada, optou-se por fazer a abertura da Copa do Mundo de forma privada.

O Estado tem feito tudo que é possível. Deu R$ 350 milhões para o entorno, para o desenvolvimento da Zona Leste. Por mais que você tente equacionar, a decisão no fim é do presidente do Corinthians", contou Pagura, por telefone, com exclusividade ao ESPN.com.br.

Andrés Sanchez, presidente do Corinthians, disse em entrevista à Rádio Bandeirantes na terça-feira que o início das obras depende apenas do alvará da prefeitura de São Paulo e se mostrou otimista afirmando que a construção deve começar na próxima semana.

"Se vai usar a parte temporária de arquibancadas (ou não)... Está nessas definições. Precisa definir logo para que a gente não perca a abertura da Copa. Estamos ansiosos para que comece logo essa obra. Trabalhar dia e noite se precisar. Se começar agora em junho vai ficar pronto em janeiro (de 2014), talvez em abril", completou.

Além do risco de perder a abertura da Copa do Mundo por conta do atraso nas obras do Itaquerão, a arena, segundo última estimativa da construtora Oderbrecht, está orçado em cerca de R$ 1 bilhão. Na opinião do Secretário de São Paulo, este valor é extrapolado.

"A coisa extrapola um pouco. Na minha opinião, quando você faz alguma coisa de R$400 (milhões) para R$700 (milhões), você deve ter no mínimo observado os guidelines que a FIFA já tinha dado. Se não, vai tirar da onde? Esse é o grande impasse e o presidente (Andrés) está tentando minimizar", afirmou Pagura.

O secretário do Estado de São Paulo também rebateu as críticas do Ministro do Esporte, Orlando Silva Jr., que disse em entrevista à Folha de S.Paulo na última semana que o governo paulista não havia "atingido seu limite" ao tentar solucionar o impasse do estádio.

"O que ficou claro para o governo de São Paulo é que não vai ter dinheiro público em estádio privado. Nós estamos no governo há cinco meses. E a Copa do Mundo você sabe que esta no Brasil desde 2007. Isso deveria ter sido estabelecido lá (em 2007). O ministro estava no poder na época.

Tudo foi deixado. E no final do ano passado, antes de a gente assumir, veio a notícia que o estádio iria ser o do Corinthians", completou Pagura, que foi nomeado secretário do governador de São Paulo, Geraldo Alckmin, em dezembro do ano passado.

"Com cinco meses de governo nós andamos muito. O que não podemos é tirar R$ 370 milhões do caixa e falar ‘monta o estádio’. Porque aí já é estar colocando dinheiro público no privado e nós já temos um monte de investimentos que estamos fazendo.

Sempre tem esforços para tentar equacionar o problema, mas depende fundamentalmente da posição do Corinthians e da Oderbrecht. Colocar R$ 370 milhões o Estado não vai colocar.

Isso aí já deveria ter sido avaliado. Mas isso foi acertado lá atrás. Nós estamos num prazo quase que limite para fazer um estádio", adicionou.

Parece até brincadeira o que está acontecendo no nosso País, e de muito mau gosto. Mas é assim que poderemos ver quem é quem, na política e no esporte.

Acho que a Copa é do Brasil e quem não tiver coração no peito, tiver no bolso, deveria ser afastado de qualquer cargo que por acaso esteja exercendo, ficar brincando com o povo brasileiro é complicado e de muito mau gosto.
