'Grandes obras e grandes realizações, de grandes presidentes, foram realizadas em mais do que dois mandatos, como no caso de Cícero Pompeu de Toledo, Laudo Natel e Henry Aidar', disse Juvenal Juvêncio.
O atual presidente Juvenal Juvêncio é o favorito absoluto para as eleições do São Paulo desta quarta-feira. No cargo desde 2006, o mandatário avisa ser democrática sua permanência pelo voto dos conselheiros e confirma o sonho de ter o Morumbi incluído no cronograma da Copa do Mundo de 2014.
Advogado, de 75 anos, Juvenal concedeu entrevista à agência Gazeta Esportiva, respondendo a duas questões específicas e quatro iguais às feitas ao opositor Edson Lapolla.
Gazeta Esportiva: A plataforma política do senhor tem como principais pontos as melhorias na infra-estrutura do clube, como CT da Barra Funda, Morumbi e CFA de Cotia. É possível prever alguma grande contratação ao mesmo tempo em que faz investimentos na parte estrutural do clube?
Juvenal Juvêncio: O primeiro item da minha plataforma de administração para o triênio 2011/2014 menciona a qualificação constante da equipe de futebol profissional, com o aproveitamento de jogadores da base e a complementação com contratações de atletas de alto nível, visando à conquista de títulos nas competições das quais o clube venha a participar. Já há algum tempo, as unidades de negócio do futebol e do Estádio do Morumbi/CTs estão separadas, de modo que as fontes de receita e despesas de uma não interferem nas demais. E todas elas são superavitárias. De modo que, não há nenhum prejuízo para o futebol com a realização das obras estruturais.
GE: A oposição contesta a candidatura do senhor na Justiça. O senhor teme ficar marcado como antidemocrático por concorrer novamente à presidência?
Juvenal Juvêncio: Antidemocrático é não respeitar o resultado eleitoral, e, sendo reiteradamente derrotado nas urnas, exercer abusivamente o direito de petição ao Poder Judiciário como uma tentativa, inócua, de criar factóides e tumultuar a vida política do clube. Na gloriosa história do São Paulo Futebol Clube, grandes obras e grandes realizações, de grandes presidentes, foram realizadas em mais do que dois mandatos, como no caso do presidente Cícero Pompeu de Toledo, do presidente Laudo Natel e do presidente Henry Aidar, não havendo nisso nada de antidemocrático, visto que, como agora, foi a expressão da vontade dos órgãos competentes para a tomada desse tipo de decisão, refletida no Estatuto do Clube.
GE: Atualmente, o São Paulo não tem boa relação política com Federação Paulista de Futebol e Confederação Brasileira de Futebol. Qual a posição que o senhor pretende adotar em relação às duas entidades nos próximos três anos?
Juvenal Juvêncio: Não é verdade que o São Paulo Futebol Clube não tem boa relação com a Federação Paulista de Futebol e com a Confederação Brasileira de Futebol. O São Paulo Futebol Clube tem uma relação respeitosa com as duas entidades, das quais é parte integrante. Inclusive, no caso da Federação Paulista de Futebol, o São Paulo é fundador. Mas relação respeitosa não se confunde com relação submissa, com a perda da independência e da capacidade crítica. O São Paulo Futebol Clube não abre mão da sua independência e entende que isso não implica, necessariamente, a manutenção de uma relação ruim com as entidades de administração do esporte, muito pelo contrário.
GE: O senhor acredita na possibilidade de o Morumbi ser recolocado no cronograma da Copa do Mundo de 2014? Este é um projeto do senhor?
Juvenal Juvêncio: Eu acredito no estádio do Morumbi, por estar construído e em pleno funcionamento. Por ser um estádio que se mantém absolutamente bem conservado e que se moderniza a cada dia. Por estar localizado numa área nobre da cidade de São Paulo, com a proximidade com hospitais de alto nível, uma farta rede hoteleira e centro de serviços. Por vir a ser, nos próximos anos, altamente acessível pela Linha Amarela do Metrô e pela Linha 17 Ouro, cujos planos para construção estão em pleno andamento. É, sem dúvida alguma, a melhor opção da cidade de São Paulo para receber a Copa do Mundo de 2014.
GE: O senhor é favorável a uma mudança estatutária para permitir o voto direto dos sócios nas eleições para presidente?
Juvenal Juvêncio: Entendo que os mecanismos institucionais definidos e aprimorados pelo Conselho Deliberativo do São Paulo Futebol Clube ao longo das décadas, desde a sua fundação nos anos 30, são o grande fator que contribuiu para que o clube tivesse atingido o nível de excelência na composição do seu patrimônio singular e no âmbito das expressivas conquistas esportivas realizadas pelo clube.
GE: Por que o senhor se considera mais preparado que seu adversário para ser presidente do São Paulo?
Juvenal Juvêncio: Porque tenho a experiência necessária para dar continuidade aos projetos de absoluta relevância que estão em curso, muitos deles iniciados na minha gestão.
Porque conheço quais são as próximas etapas e os obstáculos para conclusão da reforma do Estádio do Morumbi, das obras do CT de Cotia. Porque tenho serviços prestados e realizações a apresentar. Porque tenho força, energia e disposição para continuar dedicando todo tempo necessário para a administração desse clube, o que não é tarefa que possa ser tocada por quem não tiver todos os requisitos acima e o conhecimento que o cargo demanda.
Acabei de falar sobre isto, na própria FIFA temos o mau exemplo do Sr. Joseph Blatter que não quer deixar seu posto mesmo tendo passado 3 mandatos. O que podemos falar do Sr. Juvenal Juvêncio, nada, e temos os exemplos aflorando em todo o mundo, CONMEBOL, CBF, Federações Estaduais, infelizmente o negócio está sedimentado e cheirando a Ditadura aqui no Brasil, na America do Sul e na Suíça.

Juvenal Juvencio: Not true that the São Paulo Futebol Clube do not have good relationship with the Football Association and the Brazilian Football Confederation. The Sao Paulo Football Club has a respectful relationship with the two entities, which is a part. Even in the case of the Paulista Football Federation, Sao Paulo is the founder. Respectful but not confused with submissive relationship, with the loss of independence and critical capacity. The Sao Paulo Football Club will not give up its independence and believes that this does not necessarily imply the maintenance of a bad relationship with the national administration of the sport, quite the contrary.
GE: Do you believe in the possibility of Morumbi be replaced in the schedule of the World Cup in 2014? This is a project of the Lord?
Juvenal Juvencio: I believe in the Morumbi stadium, being built and fully operational. Being a stadium that holds fairly well preserved and that is modernizing every day. Being located in a prime area of São Paulo with the proximity to top-level hospitals, hotels and a rich network services center. By becoming, in the coming years, highly accessible by the Metro Yellow Line and Gold Line 17, whose plans for construction are in full swing? It is without doubt the best choice of Sao Paulo to receive the World Cup 2014.
GE: Do you favor a statutory change to allow the direct vote of the shareholders in the election for president?
Juvenal Juvencio: I understand that the institutional mechanisms established and improved by the board of the Sao Paulo Football Club over the decades since its founding 30 years, are the major factor that contributed to the club had reached the level of excellence in composition of its natural heritage and as part of significant sporting achievements made by the club.
GE: Why did you consider yourself more prepared than your opponent to be president of the Sao Paulo?
Juvenal Juvencio: Because I have the experience necessary to continue the project of absolute importance that is underway, many of them started in my administration. Because I know what the next steps and the obstacles to completing the reform of Morumbi Stadium and the works of CT Cotia.
Why have services and achievements to show. Because I have the strength, energy and willingness to continue to devote all time necessary for the administration of this club, which is not a task that can be played by those who do not have all the above requirements and the knowledge that the position demands.
