Nesta quarta-feira, o Baixinho voltou a levantar suspeitas quanto ao critério de Mano nas listas.

O goleiro Cássio, do Corinthians, foi outro jogador citado na declaração desconfiada de Romário. O controverso amistoso da seleção brasileira com Portugal, no dia 19 de novembro de 2008, alvo de investigações e denúncias envolvendo sua organização, tem em sua origem uma empresa da qual o presidente da Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) e do Comitê Organizador Local (COL) da Copa do Mundo de 2014, Ricardo Teixeira, seria mais do que um padrinho forte. O cartola seria uma espécie de "sócio oculto" da Brasil 100% Marketing, parceira da CBF em diversas ocasiões, segundo diz à Revista ESPN Nathalie Peackock, ex-mulher de um dos sócios da agência, o economista Cláudio Honigman.

Em reportagem assinada pelo comentarista dos canais ESPN e blogueiro do ESPN.com.br Lúcio de Castro na edição de setembro da Revista ESPN, a trama envolvendo o amistoso da seleção contra os portugueses e os negócios obscuros entre a CBF e a agência é "digna de um folhetim" e tem "todos os ingredientes: poder, dinheiro e negócio realizados na penumbra", diz o texto.

Oficialmente, os sócios da empresa são Honigman, o empresário Sandro Rosell (atual presidente do Barcelona e ex-presidente da Nike no Brasil) e Vanessa Almeida Precht (ex-secretária do mandatário do Barça).
